The physicians in our practice have dedicated our medical careers specifically to caring for women. One out of every eight women will be diagnosed with an actual breast cancer during her lifetime. Since our mission is to provide comprehensive healthcare for the female patient, we have a strong interest in the management of breast disease — from care of benign conditions like “fibrocystic” disease, to actual malignancies of the breast.

We are committed to addressing breast-related concerns in a systematic and preemptive manner. We encourage all of our patients to perform breast self-exams monthly, and have a yearly mammogram after they turn forty. Patients with specific risk factors like a family history of breast cancer may need screening mammography even earlier.

Fortunately, the majority of all breast concerns are benign in nature, and we are able to quickly reassure our patients that there is no cause for concern. But in the event that cancer is diagnosed, there are physicians in our practice who can provide comprehensive care — including breast biopsy, lumpectomy, and mastectomy. Our practice can provide counseling for patients regarding their diagnosis, as well as connect them with local and national organizations for breast disease education and support.
